The country of Nepal has a mountain region that takes up about a third of the country. These areas face cold climates and have poorer quality soil, and there are many fruit farmers in this region that are growing fruit of poorer quality. Some of Canada's nurseries propagate high quality pear trees that can survive in very cold climates. The purpose of this website is to promote these trees as a potential export idea.

There are several different varieties of hardy fruit pear trees in Canada. Each variety has different characteristics and some grow better in different locations, allowing for a great amount of area to plant these!
